Tonal Range

Tonight you will be learning about tonal range. Tonal range is the change in value from black to white. To better understand tonal range, I want you to complete the exercises in Chapter 8: Tonal Range. We're still using the wayback machine's version of your online text as the text's website is still down. Give it a minute to load.

The image they used in the online text isn't available with the wayback machine version, so USE THIS IMAGE instead. (Click the link, then right-click on the image and select "save image as" and save it to your desktop. Then open in Photoshop.)

Complete the exercises before midnight on Tuesday night. Flatten your photoshop file, save it as a JPG using the naming structure: lastname_tonal.jpg and email it to me.
